Becky decides to give her a test run

".... okay" Becky finally broke the silence, following up with a nod. This girl might not be entirely rational, but she certainly seemed to have conviction.

"Okay...?" Robin drew out the word, tilting the end of it up optimistically as a smile grew on her face.

"Okay, we can try working together." Becky said, already starting to doubt her decision.

"Hurray! Oh I promise you won't regret it!" Robin cheered, "We'll take down Lord Highwater and set things straight, avenge all those he's wronged, then move on to help even more people!"

"Right" Becky said. She glanced down the hallway to make certain no one had heard her new friend's outburst. "But its just gonna be me and you for now, alright? I don't want to burden-- I mean, so we can have a sort of... test? We'll track down your Lord Highwater, and see how well we work together... how does that sound?"

"Hmm... I think I can work with that" Robin said, suddenly serious though it didn't last long before she broke into a wide smile once again. "I'm sure we'll take him down in no time!"

"Right." Becky said. She was counting on it. The others would probably need her to finish their mission for the Diadem, after all. "What leads do you have so far?"

"Leads... right!" Robin pondered for a moment. "Well I know he's here... and I'll recognize his face when I see him!"

Again, Becky paused, waiting for Robin to continue, and again the silence stretched on, filling the room.

"And that's it, then." Becky sighed as Robin nodded. "Well I guess its gotta start somewhere..."
