It starts to rain

Jamie scratched his chest, starting to feel uncomfortable. He was surprised by the size of the swelling that was happening to his chest and hoped that the two mounds wouldn't last too long. With everything that has happened already, he really needed a shower. He was feeling pretty gross and distracted when he felt the phone buzz in his hand and he looked down to read the message.

“So, I'm guessing you don't want me to call you by your e-handle from the dating site tonight, mind telling me your real name? I'm Mark, by the way,” the message read.

“Jamie,” he quickly replied on instinct.

He was about to notice what he just did when a crack of thunder made him jump.

“A storm? It was blue skies just a second ago!” Jamie tried to whisper.

He closed the phone but just seconds after getting another message from Mark.

“Pretty name, I can't wait to finally meet you in person and put a face with that name. :) See you tonight,” read the message that Jamie never saw.

Jamie took off as fast as his heels could take him but the rain started faster than he could imagine. All too soon, he was drenched all over again, but this time by the freak storm. With little option, he ducked into the closest building and hoped they would let him wait out the rain.

Jamie took in the sight of the building, clearly seeing that it was gym.

“Excuse me, miss? Can I help you?” asked a female voice.

Only hearing the last part, Jamie looked over and saw a woman behind a counter. Realizing that he was going to need to explain himself, he walked over and tried to get the words out his time.

“I lost my voice. I needed to get out of the rain. Really bad day,” he whispered softly.

The woman leaned in to hear him but Jamie had to repeat himself a few times before she mostly understood. It was by then that that he started to shiver from the cool room combined with his wet clothes.

“Hey, would you like to use our showers to warm up? I can see if we have some shampoo. We have a huge lost and found that I'm sure might have something.

Jamie nodded gratefully and tried to reach for his wallet but the woman stopped him. Instead, she took his arm a lead him toward the shower.

“Don't worry, you don't have to pay. This is nothing,” she told him.

He smiled and tried to tell her thank you. He did his best to tell her about his day, the hive, the ruined clothes, the shoes and the rain. He was so busy training to explain, he never noticed that they entered the woman's locker room. The woman only got every other word or so but figured she understood. She told Jamie to leave his clothes behind and she would take care of them. After that, she walked off and left him int the locker room alone.

Jamie wasn't exactly sure what she meant...did they have a washer or something? Either way, he was quick to disrobe and hope into a shower stall, leaving his clothes on one of the benches in the locker room.

The woman didn't take long to return with two bottles and a robe that she hung just outside of the stall. Jamie smiled and nodded to her, taking the bottles from her and popping open the shampoo. He cleaned his hair before switching to the body wash. The scents were pretty flowery but smelled nice. Jamie explored the swelling on his hips and back side, feeling strange about the new preparations he was sporting. He hadn't even noticed until then how uncomfortably tight his pants had gotten until he was free of them. He didn't notice that the body wash was removing his body hair, which slipped down the drain.

Finally warm, Jamie put on the robe and went to the locker room to find his clothes.
