They don't stop her.

As the cafeteria empties out, Kyle and his friends stay seated with their eyes on Tanya. The senior girl, known for never having a hair out of place and always wearing the most fashionable clothes, is in the process of unbuttoning her top. The boys sit speechless while Maggie mutters "are you kidding me?" under her breath. Tanya slides the blue blouse off her shoulders and blushes. She's sitting topless in the cafeteria in her lacy black bra.

She quickly crosses one arm across her body to give her nearly exposed breasts a little bit more cover. She feels absolutely humiliated being shirtless in the school cafeteria but as she picks the blouse up off the floor she can't imagine anything worse than putting that back on. She drops it in a nearby wastebasket.

There's a murmur toward the front of the cafeteria. Some of the other students notice the commotion in the back and turn to see the shirtless Tanya. She doesn't know what to do. She doesn't have anything to replace the blouse she just threw away.

Maggie sees one of the boys at the front pull his mobile out of his pocket. She looks at Tanya clutching herself; **** and confused. "Fine," the emo girl says and steps in front of Tanya. Maggie takes off her jacket and hands it to the bewildered popular girl. "Put this on."

Tanya takes the black jacket from the girl. It's ratty, old and covered in patches from obscure bands. Never in her life would she ever wear such a thing but at this moment she finds herself putting it on and zipping it shut without a complaint.

"AW!" one of the guys at the front of the cafeteria says, "you ruined the show, witch!" They laugh and turn to walk away. "I was so close to getting a picture of her tiddies."

Kyle finally shakes himself out of his shock of seeing the topless Tanya. "Wow, you threw your shirt away."

"It...it was out of fashion" is all Tanya could muster, unsure how to explain herself.

"Well, you look kinda cool and badass in Mag's jacket," he says.

Maggie, for her part, is seething. She didn't want to help one of the girl's who contributed to the misery of her school days, but at the same time she could tell something wasn't right with her mentally. "You can wear my jacket today but I want it back tomorrow. Come find me as soon as you get to school."

Tanya looks down at the coat and scrunches up her face. The jacket is so gross and she still has to be seen in it for one more class. "Yeah, first thing." She doesn't say thank you. She's pretty sure the scuzzy girl loves having one of the school's most popular girls wearing her nasty jacket. "Anyway, I better get to class."

"Wait," Kyle says before Tanya can run off. Tanya stops in her tracks and turns back toward him.
