She's in the clothing department, searching for an outfit for a special occasion.

Erica stood at the clothing rack, shuffling through the various articles of clothes that were hanging there.

It had been a long time since Erica's parents had separated. Her mom had remarried a long time ago, the union having brought her step-brother Robert into her family, but her dad had only announced recently that he was now engaged. The worst part, though, was that his fiancee (her new step-mom) did not want to have a long engagement and had set the date of the wedding for the next weekend.

Erica had protested that she did not want to go, that the timing interfered with her college schedule, but her dad had insisted she had to attend. Which was why Erica was now browsing for a new dress that was suitable for the wedding.
