Chapter 15 by Ragnockae136 Ragnockae136

Well? Which Is It?? Kingslanding??? Winterfell???? Sunspear????? The Wall?????? Or Even Riverrun??????? Maybe The Eyrie???????? Highgarden?????????

Kingslanding

Aegon Decided to Ride For Kingslanding, Return to It's Familiarity For A Time. He'd Also Need to Check on The State of the City for Himself. Aegon Would Not Be Able to Know this from Anywhere Else. Aegon Would also Need to See if the Old Dragon Pit could be Rebuilt for The Reborn Dragons. Aegon Would Also Like To Expedite His Weddings. He Was Torn on who To marry First, but Decided it'd be Best to Get it Over with. So He'd Marry The Four Of Them on The Same Day.

The Preparations would Take A while though, and If Aegon Knew Lord Tyrell he'd be Eager to See Margaery Married before The Others, and Her Future Royal children Set Ahead of the Others. Aegon Had A Long Succession Crisis ahead of Him if not Carefully tended to. In The Reign of King Jaehaerys The First, There was never more Dragons Alive, Both In the Form of Targaryen's and their Legendary Mounts. But Jaehaerys Died and A Great Council was called and Held at Harrenhal.

So Aegon Would Need to, for Lack of a Better Phrase, "Prune the Garden that was the Targaryen Family Tree, and Maintain it As A Gardener Would". Aegon Would Need to Refrain from siring as many offspring as Walder Frey. Aegon Took His Court And Began the Journey back to Kingslanding.

Aegon Was Riding Up to The Red Keep, He Dismounted, and Walked Inside. He Found Varys, Stannis and The Grand Maester Waiting For Him. "Your Grace, Welcome Back.'' Says Varys. ''Indeed Lord Varys. But I Must Speak to The Small Council. We Have An Outstanding Matter To Attend to.'' Says Aegon. ''Of Course Your Grace, The Grand Maester and I will Prepare the Small Council Chamber Effective Immediately.'' Says Varys as Aegon Waves His Hand for Him to Do So. ''Lord Stannis A Word?'' Asks Aegon as He and Stannis Enter the Throne Room, followed by the Kingsguard. ''Leave Us, But Send for Lord Tyrion.'' Says Aegon as He Sits on The Throne. ''We Have An Empty Seat on The Small Council, I was Considering Your Brother Lord Renly For It, but I suspect Ser Kevan Lannister would Be The Better Choice.'' Says Aegon as He Forms a Hand Pyramid with his Legs crossed. ''Renly has No Seafaring Experience, But He could Still Prove Useful Your Grace.'' Says Stannis. ''Hmm, Maybe, Maybe Not. But Perhaps As Way to strengthen the Alliance With House Tyrell. Lady Margaery Has Several Cousins, If Lord Renly Were To Marry One Of them, and We Were Then To Arrange A Match Between Tristayne Martell and Your Niece Myrcella......'' Says Aegon as He waits for Stannis to catch Up. ''We'd Strengthen Support Between House Baratheon and House Tyrell and House Martell, and By Extension House Targaryen.'' Says Stannis.

''Correct, Now If We Were to Also Match The Blackfish's Bastard Daughter Lady Aster to Theon Greyjoy, after Legitimizing Her, We'd Unite Two Ancient enemies. And Be In A Position to Then Bind Lady Yara Greyjoy To Say, Lancel Lannister? We'd Gain additional strength, But Perhaps A Match Between Jaime Lannister and Lady Alys Karstark? Would Improve Relations with the North and Westerlands." Suggests Aegon. "It's Possible, With House Karstark Being the Cadet Branch of House Stark, it would unite two tense Allies." Agrees Stannis. "Then There's Your Daughter Shireen. Maybe a Match with Brandon Stark? All I know Is I Need a United Realm." Says Aegon as the Throne Room Doors open Loudly, and In Walks the Dwarf of Casterly Rock. "You Asked To See Me Your Grace?" Asks the Master of Coin Tyrion Lannister. "I Did. We Need to Discuss a Matter. The Position of Master of Ships is Vacant, and it needs to be Filled. I'd Appreciate it if You'd Send A Raven to Casterly Rock Summoning Your Brother and Uncle Kevan to Kingslanding. I Require them for A Special Set of Tasks." Says Aegon. "Of Course Your Grace, But Might I Ask Why?" Asks Lord Tyrion. "All You Need Tell Them is it is For The Good of The Realm." Says Aegon as Tyrion Nods and Bows.

Varys Soon Approaches. "Your Grace, I Regret To Inform You Lord Hand Jon Connington Has Died. The Grand Maester Suspects Poison." Says Varys To Aegon's Horror. "What? When Did This Happen?" Demands Aegon. "Not Long Ago Your Grace. The Small Council Awaits You However." Says Varys. "I see." Says Aegon as He Tries to Wrap His Head Around The Hands Sudden Passing.

Aegon Sat In His Chair Eying The Vacant Seat of The Hand. The Small Council Sat In Silence, letting Their King Silently Mourn in Peace. "Grand Maester, Have The Silent Sisters Prepare The Hands Body For Burial. He Will Be Buried Beside My Father. We Will Send Ravens to the Citadel and Houses of Westeros Informing Them of Lord Connington's Passing. But We Will Refrain From Mentioning Poison in Any Form." Says Aegon Sadly. "Of Course Your Grace." Says Pycelle. "Lord Stannis, Please Send A Raven To..................To Riverrun, With A Royal Summons To Kingslanding For The Blackfish and Another To Runestone and Driftmark with A Similar Royal Summons For Lord Yohn Royce and Lord Velaryon." Says Aegon Distantly. "Yes Your Grace." Says Stannis. "Lord Tyrion Please Send A Raven to Sunspear, My Mother Must Hear of This." Says Aegon as He Dismisses The Small Council.

Aegon Continues To Sit In His Chair For A Bit Silently Thinking About His Now-Deceased Hand. Aegon Had Made His Decision, Now He'd Need To Live Without..............................

What Happens Now?????????
