Now, Once Again, What Are You?

Minotaur: you'd think that you would be a cut above the cannon fodder like skeletons and zombies, goblins and orcs, weed fiends and spiders, the riff-raff of the game, right?
Hah, nope!
You are not the boss of a low-level dungeon, you're more like the doorman of a significantly higher level one.
You've lived your whole life in a 30' by 30' by 20' box, until this morning. This morning something went seriously glitchy, a very high-level sorceress came strolling through leading a party of much lower level players, ones more on-par for your dungeon. She strolled up and contemptuously stabbed you with a black glass dagger that had a golden glow around it: whereupon *POOF!*, you were not in your dungeon anymore. In fact, were in a place you had never imagined, with no idea how to get home: and able to think clearly for yourself for the first time...
Where Are You?
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
