Chapter 9 by Deadpool1989 Deadpool1989

The Next Day

CHAPTER 2: You awake with Daisy in your arms

[Hello Chyoa!!! Sorry for the delayed second entry to this story. Some stuff popped up that delayed me. But have no fear, Chapter 2 is here!!!!

Ch. 2 begins where Ch. 1 left off. In future chapters, the story may take some time jumps. Don't worry, we won't be seeing any JJ Abrams Lost-inspired time jumps where William or Daisy find themselves in the 1970's. That'd be weird even by their standards :)

As I was writing this entry, a thought occurred to me. Some of the characters I've introduced could have some nice stories to tell. Admittedly, I attempted to flush these stories out but my focus on the main story created a roadblock in my attempt.

So, I'm asking my readers, would these stories be something you'd want to see? If so, please drop a comment. And if you are possibly interested in writing from Tony, Patrick, or the soon-to-be-introduced Jason's perspective, drop a comment. Or better yet, toss me a message with your idea and I'll add you as a contributor.

Hmm, I believe that is everything. Ch. 2 intro? Check. Shot at Lost's convoluted storyline? Check. Asking the readers if they'd want to see additional stories within the story? Check.

Well, that's it from me Chyoa. This is your erotic merc with a mouth, Deadpool1989, signing off. See ya next time. Same Dead time, same Pool channel.]

*****

You and Daisy fell asleep on the couch shortly after finishing up. The intensity of last night's activities wore you out, both emotionally and physically.

You managed to get a bit of sleep but you've never been one who can get comfortable in unfamiliar surroundings. As such, you've been awake for most of the last little while. Despite the lack of sleep, you wouldn't trade places with anyone in the world.

Now, where you struggled to sleep, Daisy rested peacefully on your chest. And as if on cue, she begins to stir before looking up at you and smiling with still semi-dream filled eyes.

"Morning." She greets.

"Morning."

She snuggles further into you. "I think I could stay here all day."

"That sounds heavenly." You agree, wrapping your arms around her.

Those thoughts are quickly interrupted by a loud knocking at the door.

"DAISY!!!!" A loud English woman's voice calls out from the hallway.

Daisy shoots up, now wide awake.

"Shit." She says as she jumps to her feet. "Shit shit shit!"

"DAISY!!!!" The shrill voice calls again. You haven't met this woman but you are currently picturing one of those snobby women from an English period piece novel.

"COMING!" Daisy calls back before looking at you. "I'm really sorry but she cannot know what we did last night."

Based on her sudden mood change, you know Daisy is serious. "What do you need me to do?"

"Get dressed." She instructs before hurrying upstairs.

You do as you are told and retrieve your clothes from the floor. Before you even have your pants fully on, Daisy comes rushing downstairs in a new sundress and looking, well, looking as fresh as a daisy(pun 100% intended). She looks to you and seems sort of disappointed.

"You're not ready yet?" She says as she puts in a new set of earrings.

"DAISY!!!!" The woman behind the door calls yet again. She is pounding the door harder than a professional boxer would a punching bag.

You finally get your shirt buttoned up but unfortunately, it is beyond wrinkled. Daisy comes up to you and tries to press them out but to no avail.

"I am truly sorry about this." She says.

"It's all good." You reply. "What's next?"

"Upstairs, through the bedroom, is a terrace. Meet us up there. I'll....I'll think of something."

You continue to do as you're told and head for the terrace. All the while you continue to try and clean your appearance up but it's not quite working. You finally give up and take a seat. As expected, the terrace has an amazing view of Central Park.

The peacefulness is quickly put aside as you hear Daisy and the woman come up the stairs.

"Nothing happened Rosemary." Daisy contends.

"I will be the judge of that." The other woman states.

The two of them enter the terrace and you're initial suspicions proved correct. Between you and Daisy stands a short, round woman wearing an ultra-conservative dress with her hair tied tightly back into a bun. She quickly eyes you up with disgust.

You see Daisy mouth 'I'm sorry' before getting between you and the woman.

"Rosemary." She says. "This is William Carpenter. The owner of that club I told you about. William, this is Rosemary Jones, my manager."

"It's a pleasure to meet you." You say, extending your hand.

Rosemary just stares at you with utter contempt.

"You have some nerve showing yourself here." She spits out. You've only known this woman for ten seconds but you can already tell you don't like her.

"Rosemary!" Daisy scolds. "I told you, I asked Mr. Carpenter here for some business and tea."

Though she's maintaining a strong front, you couldn't help but notice a small smile when Daisy said the word 'business'.

"He felt horrible for what happened at his club and wanted to make sure everything was alright." She continues.

"He should feel horrible." Rosemary spits out again. If you were a superhero, this woman would be a strong contender for being your mortal nemesis.

Deciding to turn up the charm, you decide to engage. "Miss Jones, I assure you, my intentions here are purely professional." You lie though under normal circumstances, would probably be true. "What happened to Miss Ridley was unacceptable and my only concern beyond her safety is to ensure this sort of thing does not happen again. To anyone."

Daisy lets another small smile escape. Rosemary seems to buy it to some degree though you can tell she strongly dislikes you.

"Hmph." She says while still eyeing you up and down. "Do you always dress like a slob in business meetings?"

Yep, you do not like her.

"I will admit I'm not at my current best." You concede. "However, when Miss Ridley called, I had been casually out and about. And knowing that she likely has a very busy and tight schedule to adhere to, I felt it would be a waste of her precious time to go home for such a trivial reason as changing clothes."

Rosemary glares at you. "Well you are correct on one thing, Miss Ridley is quite busy and I believe you have taken more than enough of her time."

You really wanted to say something but you seen Daisy giving you a look. So you bid the elder woman farewell while Daisy said she'd walk you out.

Once you were downstairs and out of the prying eyes and ears of Rosemary, Daisy brought you in for a warm hug.

"I'm so sorry." She says into your chest. "Rosemary can be quite over-protective. But she is really sweet once you get to know her."

You aren't sure that would be true for you but decide to keep that to yourself.

"It's alright." You assure her. "Do you happen to have plans tonight?"

Daisy looks at you. "I have some promotional interviews but those will be done by mid-afternoon. Why?"

"Would you care to join me for dinner?" You ask.

"Absolutely." She says before giving you a passionate kiss goodbye.

"DAISY!!!!" Rosemary's irritating voice yells down.

"I'll see you tonight." You say before leaving.
