Time for bed

Richard headed for his room, Jess at the heel of his foot. As soon as they got in his room, Jess shut the door behind her and started of speaking.

"You felt that, didn't you."

"Yeah it felt like what happened in the alleyway", Richard replied.

"Do you think we lead them back here?"

"I'm not sure, but I didn't feel that feeling when we walked back towards the house. If it's worth anything, it seemed as though that thing that protected us early is still taking care of those things."

"That's true, I hope it's safe for us."

"Just stay alert and keep your phone on you at all times, if you ever need me let me text me SOS and your location. I'll freeze time if I can and come meet up with you."

"Sounds like a plan. I do need to go get some work done for school though, I'll talk to you tomorrow?"

"Yeah, using the ring took a lot out of me, so I'm going to head to bed, if anything happens just shake me awake."

Jess nodded, and opened the door to leave before she stepped out, Richard walked up behind her.

"Aren't you forgetting something?", he said, grabbing her waist from behind.

"Oh yeah, I am", she replied, spinning around towards him wrapping her arms around his neck. She reached up and deeply kissed Richard. The feeling of warmth from her lips, spread throughout Richard's body like a flame to kindling, but he ignored the need to have her.

He let her go and said, "Goodnight, I love you".

"Love you too", she said with a smile still on her lips.

With that, Richard laid back down in his bed, a small damp spot still resided their from earlier, but he didn't take too much notice of it as he fell into a deep sleep.
