Keep "shopping"

Realizing that shoplifting was a bit of a thrill, you respond by saying, "let's just keep looking around the mall a bit."

You find yourself in Spencer's Gifts, looking at the bikinis. You find one that looks about the same size as the bra and panties you picked up at Forever 21 and quickly stuff them into your bag. You find Alex and say, "Come on," nodding your head in the direction of the exit.

As you pass through the threshold, the alarm blares. You freak out and start walking faster, toward the exit of the mall. Behind you, you hear a deep male voice say urgently "Miss!" You keep walking, ignoring whoever was behind you. You hear footsteps coming up behind you and the voice repeats "Miss!"

You can tell you can't get away, so you slow your walk and turn around. You see a tall black man in a security uniform. "Miss, can I look inside of your bag?"

Your brain isn't working, like a deer caught in the headlights. The gears are simply not turning in your head. Not sure what else to do, you turn over your bag. "I uh... s- sure."

The security officer takes a look inside your bag and his face reads that he knew exactly what he was going to find. "Miss," he says, looking back up at you, "do you have the receipts for these clothes?"

"A-aren't they in there?" you stammer.

"Not that I can find." He says, ruffling around inside the Bath and Body Works bag. After a while, he looks up at you. "Miss, could you follow me?"

You swallow hard, realizing what this probably means.

Alex is just looking on in fright. "Should I come along?" he asks.

"Up to you." the man says.
