What will you do?
Hold them off.
"Go. Run. I'll stop them."
"What!?" she cries in alarm.
You really don't know what you're saying, either. But for whatever reason, you're going to stick your neck out to preserve this deathknight's existence. Maybe you just want to believe some-moby's gonna find a happy ending. "Run now!" you order. The knight needs no further encouragement; he sprints off into the trees, far faster than you thought something of that size could move.
Well, now to make good on that promise.
The beating of hooves is drawing ever nearer, enough for you to know there's more than one. You have almost no time to make a plan; what you do have is a fierce hate for heroes (with one...maybe two exceptions now) and a powerful need to prove there's light at the end of every monster's tunnel, starting with Dwight.
It's time to do this.
The horses come into view.
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
