The appointment of the parents

Two days later John's parents, Mark and Linda had their appointment with Dr. Valentine.

"You must be John's parents." Dr. Valentine greeted them with a handshake. She noticed them looking quite average, nothing special in body and clothing style.

"And you must be Dr. Valentine." John's father Mark said. "John told us you wanted to see us."

"Yes, please come in." The three walked into the therapy room and sat down, Mark and Linda on the couch and Dr. Valentine on her chair. "As you may know, John is under treatment with me, so I'm not allowed to talk with you about anything happening in this room, doctor-patient confidentiality. But I think you know that John had some problems recently."

"Yes." The mother Linda said. "After his girlfriend broke up, he was very depressed and thought he was a looser."

"Yes, that's what got him here." Dr. Valentine confirmed. "But the real problem is something else, something in his head."

"In what way?" Mark asked.

"As I said, I'm not allowed to tell you the details. But I can tell you, that deep down inside he wishes to be different, to look different."

"Different?" Linda asked.

"Yes, different. I must say very different to his current self."

Both parents looked puzzled at Dr. Valentine.

"Well." Dr. Valentine continued. "You may know your son as an average boy. But that isn't what he wants to look like deep inside, so deep inside that he didn't noticed it without my help."

"Does he want to be more muscular?" Mark asked.

"As I said, I'm not allowed to tell you." Dr. Valentine replied with a faked play of internal conflict. Then she sighed. "But as his parents it would be better if you know."

Both parents stared eager at the therapist.

"You may think John wants to become more manly after his girlfriend broke up with him, but that's not the case. Instead it seems she broke up with him, because she noticed his internal conflict causing sexual problems."

"And what conflict is that?" The mother asked.

"Deep down inside he doesn't want to look manly, but more like a woman."

"A woman?" The father asked shocked.

"He isn't transgender wanting to become a woman." Dr. Valentine quickly added. "But deep down inside he wishes to look more like one, especially the bust."

John's parents were to shocked to say anything.

"At our sessions I revealed that John secretly wishes to have really big breasts and that this suppressed wish is causing all kinds of sexual problems for him." Dr. Valentine continued. "I already started the treatment, but psychological treatments aren't working any more. So we have no other choice but relay on a physical treatment."

Mark and Linda still stared shocked at the therapist.

"To cure this longing for big breasts we have to actually give John big breasts to satisfy the longing."

This shocked the parents even more.

"Once the longing is satisfied, we can begin with the psychological treatment and turn John 'back' into the person he is meant to be." Dr. Valentine knew that there was no way John would become a normal boy ever again.

"How long will the treatment go?" Mark finally asked.

"That's hard to say." Dr. Valentine answered. "The treatment to give John breasts will begin in a few days and because of the size will be performed in several steps. After that we have to satisfy that longing and do the psychological treatment. That could take a few weeks up to several month."

"So John will have to stay a woman for several month?" The father asked.

"As far as I can tell, John won't become a woman during the treatment. He will look like one and may have to dress like one, but he won't become a woman mentally."

"And there is no other way to cure him?" Linda asked.

"Sorry, but if he isn't treated this way, he may get more sexual problems and start to wish to become a real woman. And who knows what kind of woman he then wants to be." Dr. Valentine replied with the same lie she told John. "So the only way for John to become a healthy boy again is the treatment as I told you."
