“Hrmph. Well, this last prisoner is a bit of a puzzle. He’s called Brehg, and he’s a jittery little wretch, suspected of supplying forged documents to republic agents. Strangely enough, he maintains his innocents’ despite being severely tortured.”

“That’s because innocent I am! Believe me, you gotta-I had nothing to do with forging no papers. Set up, I was set up!”

You sense he is lying and become instantly annoyed by his crude alien pleading. “Your ramblings are falling on deaf ears. Tell us the truth and confess and the **** will stop.”

“Many things I’ve done in my life that I’m not proud of, but Brehg’s not gonna confess to something Bregh didn’t do. Did some time, I did in a republic jail for forgery, so I was the perfect candidate to implicate in this. But straight I’ve been since getting out, I swear.”

Knash strokes his beard in thought. “Hrmph. He’s never wavered from that line, and the evidence is circumstantial. I suppose its actually possible he didn’t do it. So what do you decide?”

“I’m not sure, he has a resilient mind and appears to be holding something back. If you would allow me a moment.” You then step forward raising a hand. Bregh begins to plead and steps back assuming you mean to kill him. Having watched you dispatch of Davotek he is suitably terrified. However, you do not strangle him you **** yourself into his mind. He tries to fight and it pains him to try but you are to powerful. Soon you peel back layer after layer of his defences and witness the truth. He was set up and knows who did it. But he is afraid to bring up the truth. Because if he revealed who set him up they would easily have him killed. You search deeper penetrating further into his mind.

Darth Baras! He forged the documents but to what end. You release Bregh and he falls to the floor. You are concerned, Darth Baras is Overseer Tremel's enemy and the master of Vemrin. Is he implicated in a Jedi plot? This information is potentially valuable, best if Bregh is kept alive. You wonder what secrets he may hold. “This one must be kept in the academy for further interrogation, he holds many secrets that must be known to the empire.”

“Hrmph. Well, that’s that. You’re an interesting one kid. I can see why people are keeping tabs on you. Head back to Overseer Tremel, see what he thinks of your choices.”

“Yes interesting for me also. I thank you for your time.” With a curt nod, you make to leave the room. You receive a penetrating stare from bluebird as you pass her cage. You cannot resist giving her a devious smile and using the **** you slide a metal stylus into her cell. She quickly hides the useful item and after a moment of surprise returns the naughty smile. You wonder how far the blue bird can get, it's always fun to plant a few seeds.
