play on Vanessa's ego

"I have an idea," you say.

You run after Vanessa and her entourage. "Hey wait!" you yell.

Vanessa ignore you, but two of her bodyguards turn to confront you. They stop you as Vanessa and her group walk on. You see Vanessa looking at the watch.

"I need that watch!" you say, acting scared, and to be honest, you are. If Vanessa figures the watch out, you'll never see it again.

"What watch?" asked one of the brutes, obviously lying.

"My friend's mom just gave it to her. They both have a rare skin disease that's highly contagious. She was going to pawn that watch to make money for a down payment for a treatment."

The two men look at each other for a moment, then one turns and quickly walks to catch up with Vanessa. He says something into her ear.

Vanessa looks at the watch then throws it up like it just bit her. The brute catches it, but quickly takes out a handkerchief from his pocket and wraps the watch in it. Vanessa angrily tells him something then looks back and glares in your direction.

The brute comes back and gives it to you. "If Miss English gets any kind of disease, you're in big trouble!" He takes out a phone and gets a photo of you then of Sophia. He and his buddy then turn and go catch up with the others.

You walk back to Sophia and hand her the watch.

"I assume you've formulated a plan," you say.

Sophia arches an eyebrow. "But of course!"
