It's Rogue

Rogue, Shaw decided, would be perfect.

She was someone he could shape into being the perfect queen.

On the battlefield her limitless power would be at his disposal and in the bedroom she'd do whatever he wanted her to do.

Shaw had to get her, and he knew the perfect way to do it, he'd use Rogue's biggest weakness: Her relationship with Gambit.

Every encounter he'd had with her made it obvious that her on and off relationship with Gambit had weighed heavy on her.

That made things much easier.

It was no secret that there was a lot of doubt in Rogue.

He would exploit that.

And he would rebuild her as his Queen.

As the Hellfire Club descended onto Xavier's school, Shaw readied himself.

Rogue would be his soon and the first rebuilding block would be in place.

Rogue had just hopped into the shower when the call came over the School's PA.

She was incredibly annoyed, it was bad enough that Remy had been sent off on a mission and their last conversation had been an argument, now this crap was ruining her shower.

It wasn't fair, but that was life as a member of the X-Men.

She quickly got into her uniform and rushed out to fight, ready to deal with the Hellfire Club.

She rushed into the hall and looked out the window and noticed that there were more Hellfire Club soldiers than she'd ever seen and not an Inner Circle member in sight.

When Shaw noticed that Rogue wasn't in the initial wave of X-men that defended the mansion, he decided to go looking for her, his soldiers being given explicit instructions before the attack to keep their eyes out for Rogue.

He managed to sneak into the mansion and eventually he found his target.

"Hello, Rogue." He said as he approached her, ready to corrupt the proud super-heroine and send the X-Men into a spiral that he wasn't sure they would be able to get out of.
