In an open field

Shiloh gasped, sitting up as one hand went to clutch at his heart. Confirming that, yes, he was still alive, he checked his bag first. Still there. All his books, even the printouts of the various third party content he downloaded (he paid for them of course), as well as his dice and a packet of pencils and a couple blank notebooks.

He was still in his own clothes too, though he hadn’t really expected otherwise. Jeans, ‘Pretty Reckless’ t-shirt, red dress shirt and black high tops.

What he didn’t expect was to wake up in the middle of a grass field, extending out until he could see tree on the horizon. The tree line encircled him in every direction, and he could see no sign of civilization. No city skyline or smoke from a campsite fire. Nothing.

“Where the hell am I?”

Shiloh stood up, scratching his cheek as he fished for his phone in his pocket.

Nope. Gone.
