The Carousel

Batgirl walked in silence, feeling a slightly growing uneasy. Where was he? Mad Hatter must be close! She scanned the area. Then, suddenly there was a bright spray of lights and a loud noise. Batgirl did a role, coming up holding a Batarang at the ready. She saw, around a corner, lights and carnival music.

Batgirl ran up, low to the ground with her cat tucked behind her. She peaked around the corner. There was the carousel, on and lit up. The horses and other animals rotated round and round while circus music played. Batgirl looked around, then cautiously approached. This wasn't on before. Was Hatter here? She approached cautiously, stepping up onto the slow moving ride. She stood on the platform as it slowly rotated round and round.

Mad Hatter, watching on the security cameras, smiled as he turned a knob up.

Batgirl stumbled as the carousel suddenly began moving at high speeds. She tried to catch a pole, but fell back. She rolled, getting caught on one of the horse mannequins. She held on for dear life as the carousel began flying at incredibly speeds. 20, 40, 60 miles an hour. Batgirl held the horse tightly, looking utterly absurd in her super hero costume clutching a plastic horse for dear life.
