Lana figured if she seduced him, she'd have more control, plus making him fear her might cause him to be too afraid to fight crime and never become Superman, and she needed him to become Superman, without Superman, her father wouldn't become the man he was, and she wouldn't be who she was. Lana gets ready to go back in time, bringing her red sun belt, kryptonite ring(equiped with a lead cover so she could activate it when she wanted), and a small computer that could access the computer in her time, plus access the simple technology of the past. She figured she'd need access to things back then so she could blend in more, forge an identity there so she can get close to Clark, reroute phones so she can keep her identity up, and also make changes like change what's on the radio and tv to either help her chances or hurt someone elses. Also she brought some surveilance devices to keep track of Clark and others around him. Once she did all of this, she went back in time to find Clark and start seducing him.
