With just a moment to think you decide to dash left, your quick turn throws off the creature for a moment which stumbles as it tries to mimic your sharp turn. You run further and further along the path which is thankfully clear of the more dense vegetation and hear the creature continue to growl as it runs behind you. Eventually though the noises stop. You peer over your shoulder while still sprinting to see the creature has lost interest and is no longer pursuing you. You run a little while longer until you feel safe. You quickly survey your surroundings and let out a relived sigh. You lean against a tree resting for a moment as the sweat from your long run trickles down your body. You know you can't keep going like this. You need to find shelter and soon, you can only imagine what the jungle is like at night with no secured dwelling. You move further along until you find a path that looks like it was overgrown. It clearly has not been used in a while. You wonder if it could lead you to shelter or if you would be better off continuing down your own way.
