Do you go riding? Or does something happen?
You encounter some colleagues
As you reach the parking garage you see Lorri McKay and Donna Considine approaching from the direction of their cottage. They wave to you and you wait for them, grateful for the opportunity to exchange a few words with someone who isn't a hormonal student.
"Good evening Dean. Heading out for a ride I see," Donna says, nodding towards the helmet you carry.
"It's a good evening for it," you smile.
"Lorri and I were just heading out of a drink if you'd care to join us. She's driving."
"Damn straight I'm driving," the imposing black woman snorts. "No way I'm getting on the back of a donor-cycle with some white girl steering. Come on along Kyle. Or meet us there. It's a decent joint, good taps and eatable food, and best of all no snotty rich girls."
You chuckle, weighing the option of a run on the highway against an intelligent conversation.
