Chapter 6 by CrocodileHAZARD CrocodileHAZARD

Commit a crime, stop a crime, continue searching, or something else?

A typical bank robbery occurs.

Before you can think over your options further, you hear the tired and cliché ring of a bank alarm going off as a small group of men in dark clothes run out, guns and bags of money in hand as they dash towards their van preparing their getaway.

The whole thing is dry and rather uninspired, and it is with utter boredom that you pull out your remote and set them all on a “loop” of exiting the bank and entering the car. The robbers are completely aware that they are caught in the loop and attempt to break themselves out of it. Unfortunately, their efforts are quite futile. Very few individuals without magic or very powerful abilities are able to break out of your “loops”. You can’t keep them in a loop all day, but you only needed to set them for about 10 repeats before the police arrive and secure the area. You’re only too happy to end the looping, enjoying the spectacle the criminals make as they trip and fall over each other as a result of unexpectedly regaining control of their movements and failing to account for it.

The police are a bit wary of you, which is fair considering you’re a stranger with superpowers. You could just as easily be a villain, but other than a cautious eye they’re giving you the benefit of the doubt since you did technically stop the crime.

Right as the last officer leaves the scene, you notice a small crowd had been taking notice of your actions for some time. There’s one person that stands out more than the others, though.

Who do you see among the crowd of civilians?
