Home with the groceries.

"Hey, we're home!" Sara shouts after opening the door to your apartment.

"Hey!" Jen responds from the couch, not bother to take her eyes off the TV.

"Hi, guys," Alice smiles. "What's for dinner, Mark?"

"Chinese," you answer.

"Oh, yum!" Alice cheers.

"We've invited Lisa over," Sara notes.

"Awesome! Where is she?" Jen asks.

"She's going to freshen up first," you answer as you bring the groceries to the kitchen. "I'll grab her when dinner's ready."

"Need any help?" Sara asks.

"Nah, just relax."

"Okay," she smiles and gives you a peck on the cheek.

You unload the groceries and then realize your roommates don't have a rice cooker. You could cook the rice in a pot but a dedicated rice cooker would be better. You wonder if Lisa has one.
