Her Sister

In the end, Lauren decided to invite her sister. They didn't always get along (or ever really), but what it came down to is Lauren didn't have any particularly close friends to go with. Her aloof nature prevented her from forming close bonds. She decided against bringing any of her coworkers, wanting to keep an air of distance and authority from all of them. So, basically that left her sister. Despite some reservations, Lauren knew it would earn a debt from her sister Vanessa. So she called her up.

Vanessa was, of course, bubbly and excited on the phone. She was always the opposite of Lauren's serious, cold demeanor. It was surprising they were even related, they were opposites in almost every way. They even looked totally different. Lauren was pale with dark hair, short even with her heels, and most of her curves were secretly artificial. Vanessa on the other hand, despite being younger, was six inches taller, naturally curvy, fit and tan with blonde hair. This was a large part of Lauren's resentment for her, though she'd never admit it.

Still, the next morning she picked up Vanessa and drove her to the spa. Vanessa jumped excitedly into the car with gym bag. She talked the whole way to the spa. By the time they parked Lauren was already starting to regret her choice...
