She manages to attract the attention of a servant girl to open the door

The knight seizes the opportunity provided to her by all of the confusion that you caused, allowing her to mostly remain out of the crowd's attention. She continues bashing her shoulder against the door, casting furtive glances behind her, until finally the small hatch in the door gets opened and the domestic servant peeks out. When she sees the knight she's about to greet her, before noticing her lady is gagged, and appears to be naked from the shoulders down. She puts her fingers in front of her lips to supress a gasp.

"Lady Evellyn, what happened?!"

The knight gives a face etched with incredulity. You don't ask a gagged person a question and expect to get an answer! Realizing her mistake, the maid reaches through the window and pulls down the gag. Evellyn, gnashing her teeth, orders her as emphatically as she can "You twit! Open! This! Door!"

The servant quickly snaps the hatch shut and you can loudly hear the rummaging of heavy keys, and subsequently the tell-tale click of the mechanism unlocking. The door creaks open and Evellyn pushes her way inside, her naked behind slinking into the shadow of the gate. So very close to safety her embarrassment becomes all the more acute, and she tries covering her exposed crotch with her legs as best she can. Her servant attends upon her, firing off a series of astonished questions about her state of undress while attempting to untie her lady's hands.

"What happened my lady? What happened to your armor, your clothes! Oh goddess have mercy, who are the perpetrators, was it this mob?"

"Close the door you fool before you're next! ..Or worse, me again." Evellyn orders, muttering that last bit under her breath. The servant duly obliges, stops tussling with Evelyn's bonds, and moves for the door instead.
