Good Dog

I nooded and said, "Good Dog." he doctor nodded. "You didn't bark but you aren't trained yet so I'll let it pass. Heel" he said as he walked out of the room.

His whole manner had changed gone was the nice and gentle doctor, now he was a master expecting an unowned pet to obey him.

He led me to another hallway where cages of various sizes were filled with 'pets' laying and sleep. Some were in rubber some weren't. All had bandages as I realized these were pets waiting to be returned to their owners.

"You'll stay here until we get the pound to come get you," and with that he opened the door to a dog cage. I crawled inside to find a bed of fabric and pillows and a bowl of clean water. The doctor closed the cage and locked it with a padlock.

He squatted down and scratched my head through the bars, "You'll be a good alpha for someone right?"

I did what I felt came naturally I barked, and the doctor said, "Good boy" and with that walked out.
