Head to Concord.

Nate pushed Nora’s hand away from his chest. “We need to search Concord for signs of Shawn,” he said. “We don’t have time to fool around.” Nora nodded her head in agreement.

“Wise choice Mr. Nate,” Codsworth said. “We’ll find Shawn in no time.”

They shared the Cram and Sugar bombs as the walked down the road. The dog looked up at Nora whimpering for food. “Sorry pup,” she said. “But we haven’t had any food in 200 years.”

When they reached the streets of Concord they could hear gunshots and yelling. Nate pulled Nora behind a crumbling brick building. Codsworth and the dog followed. “We need to be careful,” Nate said. “Codsworth and I will sneak around the side road to see what the shooting is about.”

“What if something goes bad?” Nora put her hand on her husbands face. “I don’t want to loose you too.”

“If you hear me yell, run for hiding with the dog,” Nate said. “Codsworth and I will come find you as soon as we can.” He left down the side road.

Nora poked her head around the corner of the building and looked down the main street. She could see filthy people in rags shooting up at a man on a balcony. “Let us in!” they yelled. “We only want to steal your food and take your women.”

She saw Nate and Codsworth sneaking out of an ally, right behind the raiders. He leveled his gun at the man shouting and fired. He fell to the ground dead. Codsworth started shooting fire at the nearest raider. They had managed to kill and handful of them before Nate got shot in the leg. Codsworth was getting pummeled with bullets. One of the raiders saw her head poking out from behind the building. He fired shots at her as she ducked for cover.
