What do you choose.
Sacrifice the Knight
Why do human games have to be so complicated? Why can't you just breathe fire on the king and be done with it? Oh well, this was your idea, after all, you think to yourself as you plan the move. You suddenly notice the position of your bishop. An odd name for a piece as all the holy men you had faced before mistook you for a demon and tried defeating you with words from a book, not fighting like implied in this game. Taking a wider view of the board you conclude that you should sacrifice your knight.
You move the knight to a position that threatened Sir Hughs King. "Check" you exclaim.
Sir Hugh responds the only way he can use his Queen to take your knight this places his Queen in an advantageous position where it can control most of the board. However, it leaves a diagonal exposed.
In your next move, you slide the bishop diagonally down the board and declare "Checkmate!" Your voice breaking into a slight roar. "You are defeated, hand over your gold, jewels and horse as was our agreement." You demand.
How does he respond?
