Into a bandit-infested mine

One thing a scout is charged with is, naturally, scouting. Today, Saeva took a contract to scout out a mine which had been taken over by bandits. She would deduce how many were there, if they had hostages and gather any information which could point to their next move. She wouldn't be the one to clear out the mine- that work would be left to mercenaries or heroes or local guards.

No, Saeva's job is to make a recommendation, essentially. To sort out how many people would be needed to clear out the bandits, when they should attack, how to avoid any unnecessary losses. People counted on Saeva, most especially, she reflected, herself. Going down into the mine, anything could happen if she wasn't careful.
