Chapter 16
How to handle this?
Assume Control
Scanning over your helpless and frightened new friend, you move closer to her face until you're uncomfortably near, her personal bubble well and truly burst as you move an eyestalk down to her face. She really is gorgeous, especially for a dwarf. Flawless skin black as soot, red eyes menacing yet now helpless in fear. Something about her subtle lip waivers and clenched fists makes you... fulfilled, in a sadistically intoxicating way.
Instead of harming her, perhaps she can be useful. After all, what good is a lair without a good few servants?
Keeping a menacing gaze on her you turn your remaining two stalks back to the halfling. She's still frozen solid and it won't melt for some time, but she seems to be trying to wiggle free. Thankfully aside from being imprisoned, freezing has no real impact in this world...
You could cow both into servitude, but can you handle both at once? The Rogue is more immediately useful, giving you access to the deeper regions of the Vaults, but the Scholar would make you nearly invulnerable once you began conquering other areas...
The druegar is also much more tantalizing than the somewhat plain, if wild haired halfling and you can't help but mentally consider the scholar's...assets in the decision. What fun is a servant that isn't pleasant to the eye, after all?
Who do you take?

Game Monster
From Creep to Boss
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
