Becky and Liv keep going

"Okay, lets keep moving," Becky said, sheathing her dagger. "I don't want to go back empty handed... but if anything goes wrong, be ready to run, okay?"

"Just as long as you don't try and play the hero and run too." Liv replied. "Lets go." she stepped forward into the mouth of the cave, leading the way as the two proceeded down the torchlight passageways, deeper and deeper into the Gnoll's territory.

It wasn't too long before they came to a split in the crossroads, with a tunnel splitting off in each cardinal direction.

"I bet they're leader is that way." Liv said, gesturing to the north. The northern tunnel was filled with nicer pelts than the rest of the caves, with the torches more closely aligned. It certainly did seem to be the fanciest of the paths. "And I'm not sure what's gonna be that way, but it seems worth checking out." she continued, pointing down the western passageway. The torches grew dimmer that way, as if muted by some unholy presence.

"Maybe their spiritual leader? Or perhaps there's a natural energy in this cavern, and that's why they set up shop here..." Becky mused. "Either way, we're sure to find something."

"Mhm," Liv nodded in agreement, "So, which way?"

The eastern passageway was the leaser remarkable of the three. Faint moans and grunts drifted down from that direction, but Becky and Liv failed to hear them over their casual conversation.
