Alex's dad, Bill

As you watch, you see Alex's dad come into view. He looks at you, his eyebrows going up.

"Oh, hello." he says. He's dressed in a suit, which makes you think he was probably at work. That wasn't out of the ordinary, as you understood it. "Who exactly are you?"

You swallow the bite of food in your mouth and smile. "I'm... Jen. A friend of Alex's. He said I could help myself to some food."

"I see." Bill said. "And where is Alex?"

"He's in his room, napping. He said he was up late last night and I kinda sprung this hangout on him." you say.

Bill stares at you for a moment, then nods. "Okay, well, any friend of Alex's is fine by me." he said. "I'll have to have some words with him, though. He shouldn't leave a lovely girl like you by herself like this."

You smile. "Uh, thanks, sir."

"Please, you can call me Bill." he said. "Mind if I join you for lunch? I'm starving."

"Of course. I don't mind at all." you say.

He nods, then begins making himself some lunch. After a few minutes, he sits at the table across from you.
