Outside help needed

"Chloe, can you get Aunt Peg to help?" She seems confused for a moment so you press on with the idea that popped in your head. "While I don't want to be home right now, I can't just leave my mom and Els with nothing. I would ask you to do it but I don't want to take the brunt of any back lash, you've done so much for me already."

Chloe smiles at the last bit clearly pleased that you have at least thought a little bit about her in your plans. She considers your idea for a moment then asks, "You want to be a mediator or something?" You nod your head and and tug her arm that is still around your neck. She releases you and you adjust yourself on the bed so that you are laying down properly facing her.

You manage to make yourself comfortable before explaining yourself to your cousin. "Sorry, I am still a little drained. I do want someone else on our side when we go back to my house or at least someone else to talk to mom, either one of those is fine."

Chloe looks a little sad at the mention of you going home, "You want to go back?" As she finishes asking you reach out an tug on her arm this time patting the bedding next to you for her to lay down. When she does you pull her into a hug.

"Not right away, but soon. I can't stay away from my family Chloe, I am still angry but I need to confront this. Not to mention my mom is probably going crazy with worry and she didn't do anything wrong." You still don't know what's going to happen when you see Elsie again, there were to many conflicting emotions there. You had to straighten things out with mom though, even if you didn't go home right away.

"One more thing Chloe." You were beginning to nod off, looks like whatever you are going to do will need to be put off till tomorrow.

"What?" Chloe whispers and up until now you didn't quite realize how close you two were. You mostly feel safe in her embrace.

"Thank you, for everything. You're the best." You shut your eyes finally succumbing to dreamland. Chloe eventually follows your example silently noting how adorable you are before passing out herself.
