She loses her nerve, until Winter

Somehow, despite the group trying to help, Sarah just couldn't admit to herself and especially to Jill her feelings and after that night, she didn't attend another of the meetings.

Fast forward to the day before winter break.

Sarah bundled up in a nice sweater as she made a cup of cocoa in the dorm's dining area. Despite growing up in cold Wisconsin winters, the weather here was cold even for her.

"Hey, Sarah." Jill greeted as she entered the area. She had begun to grow her hair out when the season started and Sarah couldn't help but notice how it framed her hazel eyes and round face.

The microwave beeped, knocking Sarah out of her daze. "Hey, roomie." She greeted back and took out her cocoa, trying to hide her blushing face.

"Got any plans for the holiday break?" She asked and it occurred to Sarah she actually hadn't talked about it to Jill yet.

"Yep, I'm planning on driving back home for a few weeks." She told her.

"Sounds fun. Do you mind if I tag along?" Jill asked. Sarah was taken aback to say the least.

"You aren't going back to your family's?" Sarah asked. "Nah, they've got enough going on with my brothers and basically half the family coming over. So it's looking like either staying here all break or tagging along with you." She explained.
