Chapter 26 by aroes aroes

Wait below deck, or risk it all above deck?

Head above deck

With some intrepidness, I open the door that is the only thing still separating me and the deck above. I feel a rush of cool sea air pass over me, as I step up and out onto the deck. Initially, I could feel goosebumps form on my skin, from head to toe, as I walked onto the deck. I closed the door, hearing the oft 'tap tap' of my heels on the deck, and I see them near the front of the ship fishing away, while making conversation about something I could not quite make out.

I feel a sigh of relief that they have not yet noticed my presence on deck, and slowly make my way closer, trying to see if I can find my missing clothes or something that would be suitable to cover myself with. The chilliness of the air stirs me to action, as I seek to find something appropriate.

I find it oddly exciting, and reliable, as I try to keep under the radar while looking for clothes. The thrill of trying to sneak overrides my embarrassment at my own nakedness. I make my way slowly around to the chairs, only for my excitement to run short when my shoe bumps against one of the chair legs with a solid *clang*.

I freeze in place but realize it does me no good, as I see the three turn to look my way. I see smiles from all three aimed my way. After a moment, the father speaks up and says at a low volume, "You're right. She's as attractive as you made her out to be.", which causes Joe's smile to widen, his eyes never leaving the sight of my body.

"Good to see you awake. It appears my son Joe has done a good job keeping you company. Judging by your lack of dress, you must be quite comfortable with your body. It's either that, or my sons have done an excellent job of hiding your clothes from you, but either way, you're more than welcome to join us."

Do I accept the invitation and try to act casual?
