Continue through the woods

Anna continues through the woods, but she fall into more mud, which covers all but her eyes. As she decides to continue, she realises that her shoes are gone completely. Reluctantly Anna continues through the woods and eventually makes it to her neighborhood but she was completely naked and covered head to toe in mud, "how could I get in without being seen?" she thought, she remembers that there is a manhole cover close to her house, and coincidently, happened to be next to one herself. But the idea of going through the sewers disgusted her, but going through the front of the neighborhood had the risk of her being seen.
