Chapter 2

Where do you go first?
Out into the Wilderness to look for Senya
The Outlander told Theron he'd catch up with him later, and headed for the speeder hangar. He checked out one of his many personal speeders suited for travel in rough terrain, and soon was headed down the river valley into the woods. He saw where Senya had parked her own speeder, and set his down next to it. He'd made his living as a bounty hunter, tracking people down was his specialty. Using the specialized scanners built into his helmet, he soon spotted signs of passage through the terrain - a footprint in soft earth here, a broken twig there - and followed the subtle trail. As the brush got dense, he noticed small burn marks on the sides of the hard-barked trees, where Senya must have marked her trail with her lightsaber in order to keep from getting lost. While he didn't have The **** to assist him as Senya did, he did have a variety of grappling hooks, rappelling gear, and a jetpack to help him traverse the campaign. Before long, he saw a couple of notches that were still smoking. Senya must have passed by only moments ago. He scanned the area, and didn't see her. He did, however, see a rock ledge in the jagged cliffs that would give him a good vantage point. He ignited his jetpack for a short burn to fly up to it, and began looking around. He saw the reflection of sunlight on something white and black - the colors of Senya's armor - and was zooming in with his macrobinoculars when he felt a shadow pass over him and a light shuffle behind him. He had his blaster halfway out of his holster when he heard the electronic thrumm and saw the blue energy blade at his throat from behind.
"I thought I'd been fairly clear that I wanted to be alone," Senya said, holding her long-handled lightsaber to his neck. "And you need to remember how to sneak up on a dangerous opponent."
The Outlander didn't turn to face her, as she expected. Instead, he hit the emergency vent on his jetpack, causing a quick hot burst of ignited fuel - not enough to provide lift or even set something alight, but just enough to be a blinding distraction. Senya reflexively pulled her hands up to shield her face, taking the lightsaber away from his neck, and in that time The Outlander drew both his blasters and spun, his weapons leveled at her. "You were saying?" he asked.
Senya narrowed her eyes in annoyance, then nodded. "Unconventional, but effective. No wonder you were able to defeat so many that should have crushed you. Even I underestimated you. Well done." She deactivated her lightsaber and assumed a more relaxed posture.
The Outlander didn't lower his blasters - she was very fast, and could easily be feigning to get him to relax. But it gave him a moment to look her over. He had spotted her breastplate earlier - she wasn't wearing it now, instead wearing the long-sleeved white undershirt that went under it. His blast of fuel and smoke had soiled it with black soot now. He also couldn't help but notice that, despite being mother to three grown children, she was still in excellent shape. Her brown hair had a silver streak in it, and the stern expression she habitually wore had etched frown lines on her face, but her skin was still as unblemished as Alderaan porcelain. Senya practiced her staff and lightsaber combat extensively each day, keeping her as fit as an athlete half her age. What he could see now that she wasn't wearing her armor was the impressive fullness of her bust, accented by the way her waist nipped in above broad hips.
Senya cleared her throat. "If you're done taking in the view, and aren't going to shoot me, would you at least mind tell me why you tracked me down instead of using the commlink if it's an emergency?"
"I followed you because..."
