Don't believe what you read send someone to verify

This seems like too much of a coincidence. Everyone but Countess Marissa died and the body reportedly looking like Marissa burned removing any evidence that could confirm the story. Also what type of demon was it, The Countess was not clear on the details. That could be of vital importance in determining future risks. You cannot delay your quest any longer or risk one of the other Clutches getting bored or ****, waiting on Butrexx and take over, then your charge of leadership will turn into an all out war.

You decide to send Lady Vessa, the half-elf court mage to variety the story and maybe uncover more information. You go visit her in her 'spell room'. The court spell room is where Lady Vessa conducts her business, as court mage she acts as an apothecary and magical consultant for the Capital.

LadyVessa certainly takes after her elven heritage. Her body is thin and lean and her assets match. Her breasts are small as they barely press against the pale blue silken tunic she's wearing. Her hair is long, auburn, and curly, reach down to about her shoulder blades. She has a red velvet cloak around her shoulders and clasped under her chin with a silver pendant and she's wearing a skirt of the same fabric and colour of her tunic, "Your Majesty, what can I do for you today." She asks.

"Lady Vessa, I wish you to visit Countess Marissa Loon in Luxem. She has sent me some troubling but vague news." saying this you hand here the letter.

Lady Vessa quickly reads it and hands it back "I see that is troubling. Not many demons can change from so quickly or at all, most tend to possess their hosts. Those that can transform nearly always revert back to their true form. I am also picking up a slight trace of demonic taint on the letter. This can mean only one of two things. First, your Knights valiantly died taking down an extremally powerful demon, in which case there will be an unmistakable mark left in the place it died or I am afraid to say that Marissa is dead and the demon is the one to write you this letter. If this is true then the monster is still parading around as Marissa now with no husband to fool and the knowledge of how far they can go before people would get suspicious of their actions. You were right to come to me for help. I will go to Luxem as soon as I have prepared. I will take with me 5 of my best mages, 10 holy men and a regiment of guards just in case." She responds.

"Thank you, Lady Vessa, I will mention to Lord Gilbert to fund and organise your trip at once. Please send me your finding as soon as possible." With that, you leave and go, infrom Lord Gilbert. You also inform him of you planned departure for The Kisten Crags on your Quest, leaving him in charge of the Capital.

You gather the Champions, Butrexx, Sarah and your guards and set off the next day.

(Vessa was a good choice and should be fine, you hope, but for now, you unlock the Luxem-is-Fucked-o-meter which should go up by 2% each chapter until you get news Luxem is saved or it reaches 100 and Luxum falls to demons creating new problems)
