Rest for tonight?
A disturbance in the night...
You lead Arana to one of the guest bedrooms (You weren't too sure why you had them, actually...) and exchange parting pleasantries. As you leave, you feel her gaze on your back. Hopefully, she would wait until tomorrow after you caught up on your contracts. You head to the master bedroom and get ready to sleep. First, you needed to shower. After that, a good night's rest sounded perfect. Locking the door behind you, you settle in and prepare for rest. Before drifting off small visions of a world beyond your comprehension flash before your eyes.
A loud, sudden noise wakes you from your slumber. How did an intruder enter? Was it a player? You reach under the bed and take out your blade. You were about to head out before remembering that you barely had any clothes on and Arana was also in your base. You quickly grab a discarded shirt before quietly unlocking the door and sneaking through the halls of your home. They seem much more oppressive and darker than earlier. Something has happened and you aren't sure what. There are no signs of any disturbances anywhere. Truly, the only place that you haven't checked is Arana's room. You find yourself staring at the door.
Should you knock or break the door down?
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
