A jerk from her old life

"Thad," said the female assistant in the suit. "I'm not surprised you don't remember him. I'm not sure why you're willing to go out with some car salesman just because your mother knows his mother."

Thad! Before the changes, she'd gone out with Thad one time for the same reason, a blind date set up by her mom. She'd actually thought he was pretty cute and made out with him a little. Then when she'd texted him the next day about hanging out, he'd responded, "Nah, I can get someone hotter."

In her head, Anna melodramatically thought, "Well, well, well, look how the tables have turned! Mwa ha ha ha hah!" Out loud she said, "Oh, it's fine. Mom set it up, so I kind of have to. Besides, maybe it will be fun."

The day went by quickly. At first Anna wasn't sure how to act in a soda commercial or do an interview with a magazine, but she quickly adapted and even enjoyed those things. Being a super model came very easily to her. Everyone treated her like a goddess, and by the time of her date, she felt like one.

Anna walked into the restaurant in the sexiest little, black dress anyone had ever worn. She'd had the best makeup and hair people in the world prepare her. This surprised her assistants, who weren't expecting so much effort for a blind date, but none of them had questioned Anna.

The moment Anna walked in, Thad stood up from the table, his jaw on the floor. He walked up to her and said, "Oh wow, I can't believe it! I'm such a big fan!"

In Anna's experience, he was such a big tool. She knew exactly how to handle this.
