This place is way nicer!
Did your parents redecorate? Maybe this is what empty nest syndrome looks like.
You cautiously climb down from the bed and stumble to the door. Glancing down the hallway you confirm that this is, in fact, not your house.
You duck back in and scan the place. It's really familiar, like you've been there before. Once it dawns on you the confusing part is how you didn't know immediately.
Everything looks kind of different, but you've been in this room hundreds of times.
Your first summer home from college is stressful enough. The last thing you need is to be abducted by aliens! Unfortunately for you, they're look for someone a bit... different. They're pressed for time; dark matter fuel doesn't grow on trees and all. They decide to cut a few corners and make some, less than minor, alterations.
