Chapter 17 by Corruptor Corruptor

Do you resist, or are you out of chances?

Just one more chance?

As Lilith's melodic voice echoes around your head, your thoughts drift to pleasure. You imagine your nude sister and what you could--no! You must resist!

"O h-heavenly father, let this whore--no! Do not let my soul fall from grace." Prayer is more difficult than it has ever been in your life, just when you need it more than ever.

"O heavenly fucker, let me be defiled--NO!" you scream at the internal conflict you are losing. You give up on verbal prayer and close your eyes, thinking as strongly as you can of salvation. Before you realize what is happening, your sensation of the church fades away. You allow yourself a glimmer of hope; it seems you have been given a chance!

Your vision returns and you behold what you always imagined Heaven to be. You see the gold gates atop the clouds. You see the marble, almost Grecian structures beyond the barrier. In your vision, you walk forward, garbed in a white robe. As you approach the gates, you notice a brilliantly holy man standing guard: St. Peter, it must be!

"Hold there, my child!" His calm voice carries well. You have not yet shed your mortal coil; I cannot welcome you to Paradise, nor can I pass judgement; however, as you are well aware, your soul is in grave danger. This is a trial you, and you alone must overcome..."

You are dimly aware that St. Peter is still speaking, but you cannot focus on his words anymore. Instead, your attention is drawn to a soft whisper, deep within your mind. You focus on it, straining to hear what it is saying.

You are no child. You are strong, and you deserve power. Come to me, and I can give you what you deserve.

"...and I can allow you to pass through these gates when you have done what I ask," St. Peter's proclamation ends.

You are left with a choice: listen to St. Peter, or discover what the whispers offer?

What do you do?
