Arriving at the party

You figure it should only be a ten minute walk at the most from Aidan's house to the party, whose address Greg texted you when you split up to go with Kate and Ashley. The night is pretty quiet, despite being a Friday-- a symptom of the exam season, if you had to guess.

You turn up the street that the house is on expecting to find it busy and full of people. Well, you do find plenty of people, including one group you hadn't expected-- the cops. There are four police cars as well as a paddy wagon. Some of the partygoers have already been loaded into the van, looking more than a little worse for wear.

Shit, you think. You haven't been drinking, but you somehow doubt that the cops will believe that if they find you. On the other hand, your floormmates are probably all in the process of being arrested right now.
