False Phantom

In order to save her reputation and spare her of any more humility, Zatanna gave the signal to kill the lights. The sudden darkness startled the audience, but they stayed, unmoved. Zatanna, thinking fast, conjured a malevolent phantasm out of her hat and trained it to frighten the audience.

The phantom bellowed out a menacing laugh, scaring everyone into retreat, running out of the theater. All but one.

In the dark, Zatanna quickly defeated the false ghost back into her hat, then dashed off to her dressing room backstage. Used to the dark, Circe silently followed Zatanna in the guise of a female theater staff member.
