Luckily enough, they were willing to introduce you to a Leontes first-string Number 4 player. He's... well... he's honestly not the handsomest fellow in the school, rather far from it. He looks like he's taken a few too many face-first falls in polo practice, with a bit of a flat, squashed cabbage look to his freckled face, topped off with a heavy sloping brow. He's actually slightly on the short side, about five foot eight, but more than makes up for it with his broad shoulders, and there is a steady power to each and every one of his footfalls, like a bull pacing around in its pen.
"Hi," you say to him sweetly, giving him a little curtsy. "Alec Hogshead, right? Wow, you sure did an amazing job of, uh... goal-ing. Guarding the goal I mean. I am such a great fan of the Leontes team."
The polo-playing wizard gives a little huff and glances over at his friends, the three first-year boys, with mild annoyance. He mouthed something to one of them and then turned to you, giving you a forced smile. "Well. Good to make your acquaintance then, Miss...?"
"Franziska." you said proudly, trying to make it sound as exotic and appealing as possible.
It occurred to you that you were walking a fine line here. Usually, when you went up to talk to a boy, you were either doing it because you wanted to do romantic things with him, or it was about something entirely innocent and unrelated. In this case, though, you were in an odd grey area. You wanted him to invite the rest of his team to a gathering where you and an unspecified number of other girls would make yourselves available to them, and even do some fooling around among yourselves if it pleased the sportsmen. So you needed to be flirtatious enough to get the point across, but not too personal.
"I don't suppose you'd have time to sit with me at lunch for just a few minutes?" you ask, leaning forward and grabbing his hand before he can respond. "Pleeeeease? At least let me buy you something?"
"She's a fine lass, isn't she? So lovely and so generous!" one of the polo fan boys said. That sort of boxed Alec in - even if he really wanted nothing but to get back to his room and relax, the chivalrous ways of Leontes meant that he couldn't just brush you off. "Alright, all-r-ight..." he said, a little impatiently, and put his hand on your back. Always nice to, er, meet a fan."
"You know," you say, beaming, as he leads you into the dining hall, "when I'm watching the teams play out there I cannot help but let my imagination run a bit wild when looking at those big, hard broomsticks you're holding between your thighs as you play. Got to keep a very good, tight grip on them when you're flying, yeah?" you giggle.
Alec looks over at you as you get in the line and grunts noncommittally. "Quite a mouth you got on you there, girl. Listen, I don't know what you've 'eard but I'm just coming off of a bit of drama from the tail end of last year, and I don't really have time for too many close friendships. You understand I'm sure." he says curtly.
You just give a little giggle and roll your eyes. "Really? You are THAT pressed for time? I think perhaps you do not realize how efficient my 'friendship' is. But either way - I really, really would appreciate if someone could give me some help convincing your teammate Fabian to come to an outside gathering that me and some fellow students are putting together. Nothing too fancy, just music, refreshments, and a lot of frisky girls." You give him your best winning smile.
"Wait... so you mean, this is not just you or a couple of others you want Fab to make time for? Blimey, but you're ambitious." he sighs. "Listen, I'm a bit knackered right now, think we could take this up another time?"
Damn it all - he's slipping away from you. You need to get more aggressive... or perhaps charm him with a spell if you're feeling imperious.
