The spell works.

As Giles finished chanting the spell everyone felt the power that was gathering in the room all of a sudden vanish, looking at Giles Xander asked. "Did it work?"

"I think so," Giles replied before turning to Buffy and asking, "Do you feel any different?"

"I don't know, how do we tell if it worked?" Buffy asked.

"Well why don't you ask someone to do something that they normally wouldn't do that should prove it if they follow your orders." Willow said getting nods of agreement from everyone.

"Alright but before we do that how long will this spell last anyway?" Buffy asked wondering if this spell would go away once the mayor died.

"Well," Giles began. "Usually a spell like this would only last as long as the caster was providing power to it. but due to the mayor using the hell mouth as a power source the spell will last as long as the hell mouth exists."

"Right so why don't we get this over with and test if this spell is working." Xander said.

"Alright so say or do something that you guys wouldn't normally do," Buffy mused to herself wondering what she should do to her friends. After thinking it over Buffy grinned when an idea came to her, Turning to Willow she said, "Willow why don't you slide your right hand into Xander's pants and fondle his balls while you French kiss him."

"Sure Buffy," Willow replied with a smile and did exactly as Buffy said. Slipping a hand down Xander's pants Willow fondled his balls while she kissed him on the lips.

"Honestly Buffy this isn't much of a test." Giles said as he watched Willow and Xander fool around.

"If you say so Giles," Buffy replied with a smile on her face at the idea that she could get her two best friends together. Standing up Buffy looked over her two friends and slapped Xander's ass as she moved towards the library exit.

"Ow," Xander cried as he stopped making out with Willow and asked Buffy, "What was that for?"

"No reason," Buffy replied. "Now why don't you and Willow go to your house and spend some time together."

"Sure," Willow and Xander replied at the same time and did just that.

"Wait Buffy where are you going we still have to see if the spell is working or not," Giles called out as Buffy was leaving.

Buffy just smiled at him and left but not before saying, "Everything will be fine I'll see you tomorrow."
