The Gun Store

As she thought long and hard about it, she remembered there had been a gun store about a block away. If it hadn't been ransacked already, the weapons would be an asset for her. She carefully exited the building and peered up and down the street, watching for danger. The wind whistled softly along the street and through her hair, and finally she decided it was safe to go.

As she picked her way along the street, Renée wondered if there was anyone else left in the city. It was so eerie, not hearing anything. The street she was on had once been a bustling hub of traffic. She readied her pistol as she neared the gun store, which looked like it had been boarded up. She jiggled the door handle to no avail, then snuck around the side of the building, and climbed up to a fire entrance. She made more noise than she would have liked but there wasn't any futas swarming the area, so she breathed easy.

After she got inside she made her way through the apartment and down into the store. As she entered through an open door, she took in her surroundings.
