Martian Manhunter with a new mission

"Shadow, we have a new mission for you," Martian Manhunter's voice rouses you from your slumber. "It is not urgent, but report to the briefing room as soon as possible." The comm cuts off and you head up to the bridge.

You make it to the meeting room and find the Martian waiting for you. He is speaking with an athletically built redhead. They turn to greet you as you enter. "Shadow, thanks for coming up. This is Batgirl." He gestures to the woman at his side and she extends a hand which you shake in greeting. "She requested your assistance. I'll leave you two to it." And with that he exits the room, leaving you alone with Batgirl. The two of you take a seat at the table.

"I know you've only just joined up and you've had a lot on your plate, but I could really use your help," she begins. "It's been kept quiet, but there has been a series of Gotham's elite who have given away their life savings, but have no recollection of how or why after the fact. The authorities haven't gotten anywhere with the investigation, but I've found that all the victims have a connection as clients of the Serenity Springs Spa. It's an exclusive spa that caters to the rich and famous. I can go in as a client as Barbara Gordon, but I need someone with employee access and that's where you come in. The only staff opening right now is for a male masseuse."

"Ok I'll stop you right there," you interrupt her. "I have almost zero experience with massage. I'm not sure how much help I'd be."

"But you learn quickly with your abilities, right?"

"Sure."

"I've prepared some study materials for you." She slides over a folder. "I think you'll pick it up in no time. Plus I have it on good authority that you have magic fingers." She gives her fingers a little wiggle for added emphasis.

"Uhhh..." You start to blush a bit.

"What? Girls talk. And stop blushing. From what I hear you have nothing to be embarrassed about. Anyway, I have arranged for an interview for you tomorrow morning at Serenity. Once you get the job, and you will get the job, I need you to look for clues as to how they are manipulating these people. I have booked a full day new customer package for myself, so I will be snooping as well and we will be able to coordinate from the inside. So, think you can handle that?"

"I'll give it my best shot."

"Good. All the info for your cover ID is there in the packet along with massage technique information. I will see you in the morning. 8am sharp. Don't be late." The two of you part ways and you return to your quarters to pour over the instructional information that Batgirl gave you. After a few hours, it's starting to sink in, but it is becoming clear to you that you'll need to actually practice on someone to make sure you're getting it right.
