What does it say?
A message, directed at you.
You receive a notification. It seems that a player has managed to write out the correct ID to send a PM to you. The message is titled 'To the assassin'. Opening up the private message, it reads,
'I would like to further my understanding of stealth. I understand that you have excellent knowledge of ****, subterfuge and other shadowy arts. I can pay in gold, equipment or favors. Price is no concern. If you are interested, PM me back.' -Arana of Astoria.
A job offer from a player, you haven't gotten one of those ever since they removed the feature to put out official contracts on players. It was, overwhelming. You got hundreds of job offers every day, and they kept on piling up. You had to invest in a warpstone to keep up, the rock broke 2 days in. There were over 600 contracts that weren't fulfilled before the service was taken down. When you had free time, you would go and complete those contracts. Time was scarce these days, the games' population was booming. Hundreds of new players everyday.
Oh right, the message. Reading it over, to make sure you got it right you decide to respond.
How do you respond?
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
