Allison was confident, Sami was nervous.

A twig has snapped, and it was quite loud. Both Allison and Sami turned their heads in the direction of the sound.

"W-what was that?" Sami asked.

Both girls hesitated, listening for any other follow up sounds. With Allison's sense on alert, she leaned her head towards the nearby woods. There wasn't another sound following up. Neither girl had any real clue what it could be.

"Do you think somebody's here?" Sami said.

"It's probably just a deer," Alison said, wanting to continue their experiment. "Come on Sami, that little spook probably jump started you. Don't wanna waste good adrenaline!" She took a few steps back towards their bag and picked up the stopwatch.

That answer clearly wasn't good enough for Sami, however. She couldn't shake the feeling that somebody was in the woods, on the verge of discovering two naked girls on the track.
