The backstory

The woman clears her throat. "First of all Jack, I'm Emma. And, you've already met Toby."

Toby Grunts.

She continues. "According to Tina you destroyed the array, but not before it changed reality and some of it's creations escaped. The zombies caused the most commotion. The CDC and army came and stopped the outbreak. They called it the Omega virus. They killed about seventy five people. It could have been a lot worse.

We also know werewolves escaped. They are easy to track though. They tend to leave behind a lot of mutilated corpses. Tina said they aren't typical werewolves, she called them darkwolves. They crave human flesh. We took out a whole pack. Well almost a whole pack we still think there is a lone wolf hiding somewhere.

As to vampires, there are a bunch."

"I saw Gwen at the hospital, she is probably one of the originals."

"We assumed as much. They have a good many authority figures enthralled, which has made tracking them difficult. They killed Toby's parents and turned his sister. We think they were after his family's money. That's why he's got some anger issues. Oh, and he is filthy rich."

"So where's Tina?"

"That's the other reason we're tense. She went missing last night and this little stakeout is looking like a dead end. Let's get back to base. Jack, you can come."
