She follows her lord's lead.

"Now girl." Sinja barks to his young apprentice. "Dive for the waters below and return to our camp!"

Sonja momentarily hesitates, not wanting to abandon her mentor and friend. Seeing her thoughts the bandit-lord pushes the she-bandit. "Go, damn you! Warn our people. I will follow."

With a nod, Sonja takes a deep breath and with a running leap jumps off the cliff. The fall is far, but the female Hyrkanian is a skilled swimmer and safely dives into the deepest part of the slow moving river.

Swimming underwater to give Sinja a safe landing spot Sonja resurfaces near the far bank, on the other side of the cliff. Gasping for air, she wipes her drenched hair away from her eyes, and vainly looks for her clansman.

"By Mitra's ass, you pigheaded fool!" The she-bandit swears at the realization that Sinja did not jump but instead stood his ground. A fact confirmed by the faint ringing of steel as swords clash from the cliff above.

"Damn your honor." Sonja growls and wades ashore to get a better look. She turns in time to hear and see one of Sinja's short swords fall down the cliff side as the sounds of battle go still.

"By, Scáthach no." The redheaded bandit whimpers a desperate prayer to her goddess, knowing that her lord is at best captured and at worst killed.
